Reducing to Linear Form

Lesson 4 of 5
Some non-linear systems can be linearised by substitution. E.g. 2x+3y=13,  5x−4y=−2\dfrac{2}{x} + \dfrac{3}{y} = 13,\; \dfrac{5}{x} - \dfrac{4}{y} = -2 becomes linear in u=1/x,v=1/yu = 1/x, v = 1/y.
