Solving by Factorisation

Lesson 2 of 6
Rewrite ax2+bx+cax^2 + bx + c as a product of two linear factors: split the middle term bb as m+nm + n with mn=acmn = ac. Then factor by grouping. E.g. 6x2+11x+36x^2 + 11x + 3: 18=9⋅218 = 9\cdot 2, 9+2=119+2 = 11; factors (2x+3)(3x+1)(2x+3)(3x+1).
