Detailed theory
Two angles are complementary if their sum is 9090^\circ; supplementary if 180180^\circ. Angles at a point sum to 360360^\circ. Angles on a straight line sum to 180180^\circ. Vertically opposite angles (formed by two intersecting lines) are always equal.
Key concepts & formulas
01
Angles on a straight line sum to 180180^\circ.
02
Vertically opposite angles are equal.
03
Alternate interior angles on parallel lines are equal.
04
Co-interior (allied) angles on parallel lines sum to 180180^\circ.
05
Angle sum of a triangle =180= 180^\circ.
06
Exterior angle of a triangle == sum of two opposite interior angles.
