Detailed theory
an=1/ana^{-n} = 1/a^n (a0a \ne 0). E.g. 23=1/82^{-3} = 1/8.
Key concepts & formulas
01
an=1ana^{-n} = \dfrac{1}{a^n} (a0a\ne 0).
02
aman=am+na^m \cdot a^n = a^{m+n}; aman=amn\dfrac{a^m}{a^n} = a^{m-n}; (am)n=amn(a^m)^n = a^{mn}.
03
a0=1a^0 = 1 (for a0a\ne 0).
04
(ab)n=anbn(ab)^n = a^n b^n.
05
Scientific notation: k×10nk\times 10^n with 1k<101\le k<10.
