Detailed theory
Perimeter = total distance around the boundary. Rectangle: 2(l+b)2(l+b). Square: 4a4a. Triangle: sum of three sides. Circle's perimeter is called the circumference.
Key concepts & formulas
01
Perimeter of a rectangle =2(l+b)= 2(l + b).
02
Area of a rectangle =l×b= l \times b.
03
Perimeter of a square =4a= 4a; area =a2= a^2.
04
Perimeter of a triangle == sum of three sides.
05
Area of a right triangle =12×base×height= \tfrac{1}{2} \times \text{base} \times \text{height}.
